VOLUME 4 SUBMISSIONS
SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR VOLUME 4 – THE INFORMATION ISSUE
We’ve decided to change things a bit going forward – starting with Volume 4, Foxhole will have a new format. The zine will still be A5 in size, but with a set number of pages. This will also be the first officially themed issue, that theme being ‘Information’.
Hopefully, this new format will make it more economically viable to produce and sell and mean that we can at least break even with each issue / print run. Beyond that, it was also just time to try something new.
We are looking for the following:
Illustration / art / visual art
Random combinations of the above
Please feel free to interpret the theme any way you see fit. The more variety the better!
While previous issues have featured long form pieces and interviews, the new page count won’t allow for many of these and we’d also like to feature the work of as many people as possible, so please bear this in mind when submitting (depending on the response, we’re hoping to give contributors 1-3 pages each)
There are no submission fees or reading fees or any of that nonsense. Unfortunately, we’re not able to pay for submissions either but each contributor will receive a copy of the zine and as much promotion as we can manage. The zine will also be available at numerous book fairs across the UK.
You are welcome to submit work that has been published previously elsewhere, as long as the previous publisher doesn’t have exclusivity.
If you are an illustrator and would like to provide an illustration for a short story or poem, please drop us a line and we’ll be in touch once we’ve reviewed the relevant submissions.
All visual content should be sent as 300 DPI jpegs and should work on an A5 page.
The deadline for submissions is Feb 3rd 2019. The intention is to get the issue ready in time for our first book fair of the year, the Pages Leeds International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair in March, though the deadline may be extended if required.
Please send all submissions to email@example.com - we’ll try to get back to you one way or another as soon as we can, but please bear with us and also check your junk folder from time to time, as our emails seem to end up there for some reason.
Off you go then!
